10^th Annual ISEE Sporting Clays Shoot: Saturday, February 11, 2012

Located at the Tennessee Clay Target Complex in Nashville, this great event includes 125 targets (100 Sporting Clays targets plus 25 targets of your choice of Trap or 5 Stand). 125 rounds of ammo will be provided to each pre-registered shooter. Bring your own shotgun or loaner shotguns will be available for a nominal fee. Transportation is provided. The bus leaves the Gaylord Opryland Resort at 8:30 am with a starting time of 9:30 am. Return time is approximately 3:00 pm. Proceeds of this event will go to the SEE Education Foundation Children’s Fund to benefit the families of those killed or injured in commercial explosives accidents. Click here to register.

12^th Annual Silent Auction Finale: Monday, February 13, 2012 – 4:30 PM

Proceeds earned from the Auction Donations support scholarships awarded through the Education Foundation providing financial assistance to qualified student scholarship recipients. Detailed descriptions of the auction items can be viewed in the Conference Bookstore in Nashville, TN. Deadline for items to be donated is January 31, 2012.

The Blaster Challenge is a software package allowing users to test their knowledge of several facets of explosives engineering including: blast design, explosives properties, OSHA/NFPA/OSM/ATF/MSHA regulations, bulk equipment safety, explosives history and much more! With all proceeds going to the SEE Education Foundation, this will be available for purchase in the bookstore at the 38th Annual Conference in Nashville.Over 1,300 questions can be used for learning, testing, training or just fun! Student Industry Connection Meeting – Sunday, Feb. 12 at 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. All students registered for the conference are invited for Presentations and Q & A on career building. The ISEE Blast Vibration & Seismography Section Annual Meeting – Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Join event speaker Dr. Charles H. Dowding, Northwestern University, to hear a presentation on “Alleged Densification of Beach Sand by Vibratory Pile Driving.” Reservations requested.

The ISEE Drilling Section Annual Meeting – Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Join speaker Bill Hissem, (Senior Mining Applications Engineer, Sandvik Mining and Construction), on the topic “Figuring Out The New Normal – What is the Drill and Now What Do I Do?" Reservations requested.
