The goal of this workshop is to provide workable strategies for successful interactions with the general public, primarily in crisis situations. Experienced professionals will relate constructive, real-world tactics for succeeding in one-on-one conversations, in-group meetings, and with the mass media.

Panel Discussion will focus on problem questions faced by nearly all blasting professionals such as:

How do you defuse a critical situation?;

How do I anticipate issues of public concern?;

How do you handle a news crew showing up on your jobsite or at a permit hearing?;

When is it time to call a specialist - insurance company, lawyer, PR firm?;

When is it best to NOT have a public meeting?..........

and many others.
