Education and Training Programs
The
Foundation develops and fund seminars, media and
education materials directly, and in partnership
with other industry organizations. Since
its inception, the Society has co-sponsored the
production of the following tools which are
available in the
Blaster's Library.
Face-to-Face: Greeting the Homeowner
Developed by the SEE Education Foundation and
industry professionals. This video is for use as
a training tool for anyone taking part in a
blasting project who may be required to interact
with the people in the community.
Understanding
Vibrations from Blasting
Developed by the Society's Public Education
Committee as a video and DVD, was produced by
the Foundation to compliment the Power Tool's
Abridged Version and to assist members in
educating homeowners and others about the
effects of blasting in their neighborhood.
Explosives: The Power Tool, How Commercial
Explosives Help to Shape Our Lives
(Explosives: The Power Tool, an Abridged
Version), co-sponsored with IME and Nobel
Insurance, these videos are used to educate the
public about how the use of commercial
explosives improves the quality of life in our
world today.
Emergency Instructions: First Responses to
Commercial Explosive Trucking Incidents
A video co-sponsored with IME and Nobel
Insurance Services, was designed for training
emergency response teams involved in commercial
trucking incidents.
Responding to Trucking Incidents Involving
Commercial Explosives
This Leader's Guide was developed and produced
by IME and co-sponsored by the SEE Education
Foundation as a manual to assist trainers in
presenting a response to incidents.
Securing Explosives, A Prime
Responsibility of Industry
Developed as part of the Society's Homeland
Security efforts by the ISEE Explosives Security
Committee. This CD contains a power point
presentation designed for ISEE Chapters,
companies and others handling explosives to
protect the public.
ISEE
Certificate Program Levels I and II
Produced by ISEE, the Certificate Program
includes videos, workbooks, and PowerPoint
presentations guides for facilitators. Level II
Construction and Quarrying lessons are both
complete and being used by Society chapters and
others. More lessons of Level II are under
development. Foundation resources are being used
for the Spanish translation of Level II.
