A record breaking
attendance of more than 1,800 blasters,
manufacturers, government officials, and
suppliers
gathered from all over the world to conduct
business, exchange information, and form new
business alliances
at ISEE’s 33rd Annual Conference, held at the
Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center,
Nashville,
Tennessee, January 28 – 31, 2007.
The highlight of the popular Blasters Weekend
Package was Saturday's Blasters Training Seminar
and Sunday’s Blasters R Us Video Roundup.
Attendees filled the sold out exhibit hall
during Sunday's Welcome
Reception. Technical sessions kicked off on
Monday with keynote speaker Michael J. Sullivan,
Acting Director of ATF. Over seventy papers on
topics ranging from blasting, safety, vibration,
regulations, and productivity
were presented. The International events brought
guests together from all over the world. The
Public Relations Workshop provided strategies
for successful interactions with the general
public.
ISEE will sponsor the 34th Annual Conference to
be held at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, New
Orleans, Louisiana, from January 27 – 30, 2008.
The Call for Papers announcement can be viewed
online at www.isee.org and ISEE is accepting
abstracts for presentation at the Conference and
publication in the
Proceedings.
The International Society of Explosives
Engineers has grown to represent more than 4,500
members from more than 90 countries. The Society
extends a welcome to anyone wishing to
participate in the 34th Annual Conference.
