 Dr.
Per-Anders Persson of Nitro Nobel Group of
Sweden received the Society of Explosives
Engineers' Distinguished Service Award from Don
Matthews, President and Dr. Calvin Konya,
Executive Director.
This was the first award given by the Society.
Per-Anders was selected by the Board of
Directors because of his invention of the Nonel
blasting system, his book "Detonics of High
Explosives," and his long career as the author
of technical articles and president of the
Swedish Detonic Research Foundation.
