INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF EXPLOSIVES ENGINEERS
ANNOUNCES ITS NEWLY ELECTED EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR 2003.
CLEVELAND, OHIO - The International Society of Explosives Engineers (ISEE) announced today results of the election for Officers and Directors for 2003. The new Board will work under the leadership of President R. Thomas Watts, who will be serving a second term. Officers will include Administrative Vice President, Michael F. Barber; Technical Vice President, John L. Floyd; Treasurer, Dale L. Ramsey; Secretary, Lawrence E. Gilmore; and Past President, Larry E. Schneider.
Re-elected Directors Ron Elliott of British Columbia, Canada; Gordon Revey of Colorado and Ken Eltschlager of Pennsylvania will serve with current Directors Charles Dowding of Illinois; Julie Pecori of New York; Randy Wheeler of Missouri; Jerry Wallace of the State of Washington; Director Emeritus Roger Prescott of Ohio and two appointed international directors. Outgoing Directors are Sally Zadra of Georgia and Rolf Schillinger of Germany who have each completed six years in office. The Society also congratulates newly elected Directors Randy May of Pennsylvania and Dave Saunders of Massachusetts.
In the Fall of 2002 President Tom Watts appointed Piet S.J. Halliday of South Africa and Carlos P. Orlandi of Chile to serve as International Directors representing the approximately one-third of the ISEE membership who are international members.
The ISEE Board serves the Society's members and the commercial explosives industry offering thousand of hours of volunteer leadership. ISEE Directors represent every facet of the industry and bring a collect technical and substantive experience that cannot be easily measured except by the results. Society membership has grown from 1800 members and 12 chapters in 1988 to 4,500 members and 35 chapters in 2002.
